Postcard - First Avenue Downtown Mission

Postcard with my original and hand painted watercolor artwork inspired by places in the Fraser Valley.  

First Avenue, Downtown Mission, B.C.  The City of Mission's historic downtown strip originally named Washington Avenue, later Main Street and since the 1980s called First Avenue.  I drive or walk along this street at least once a week and had wanted to paint one of the historic buildings.  Instead I decided to capture the whole street.  This was my first watercolor of buildings.  Mount Cheam stands proud in the background.
